Patricia Jean Martin

McMinnville resident and Asheville, NC native Patricia Jean Martin, age 66, was born December 22, 1946 and died January 6, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Gladys Hill Waldrop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James "Jimmy" and Neil Waldrop, Jr. She was married to Barry Martin of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Paul D. and Liefje Martin of Brighton, TN, Patrick C. and April Smith of Readyville, TN and Jason L. and Stephanie Martin and Andrew J. "Andy" and Dana Martin both of McMinnville; eight grandchildren; brother, Jerry D. (Susie) Waldrop of Asheville, NC; sister, Janice A. McClure of Asheville, NC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013 in High's Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory at a later date.
