Joyce Rogers Northcutt

Morrison, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Joyce Rogers Northcutt, age 70, was born May 6, 1942 and died January 20, 2013 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. A retired cafeteria manager with Morrison Elementary School and a member of Trousdale Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Louise Watley Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Pirtle and Sue Slatton; two brothers, Bobby Rogers and Kenneth Rogers; and son-in-law, Greg Tenpenny. She was married August 12, 1961 to William Ray Northcutt of Morrison, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children and their spouses, Kathy and James Underwood of Morrison, TN and David and Jeanne Northcutt of Morrison, TN; three grandchildren, Alan Northcutt, Lee Northcutt and Ashley Underwood all of Morrison, TN; one sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Johnny Parker of Morrison, TN; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Marie Rogers of Woodbury, TN and Thomas Rogers of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in High's Chapel with Mike Ray and Johnny Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at High's.
