Willard Thomas Savage

Mr. Willard Thomas Savage, age 79, was born October 31, 1933 and died January 22, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired supervisor with Ben Lomand Telephone Cooperative and member of the Congregational Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Mareal Samuel and Lola Beatrice Simmons Savage. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Helen Shockley Savage and two brothers, Dillard Savage and Jessie Savage. He is survived by wife, Jean Bonner Savage of McMinnville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Freddie and Patsy Savage of Dunlap, TN and Billy and Helen Savage of McMinnville; three step-daughters and their spouses, Phillicia Harbin, Gina and Terry Fann and Dionne and Terry Fowler all of McMinnville; five step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 in High's Chapel with Levoy Knowles officiating. Burial will follow in Shockley Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at High's.
