Jessie Terrell Halteman

Rock Island, TN resident and Marshall County, AL native Jessie Terrell Halteman, age 86, was born May 4, 1926 and died February 9, 2013 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired employee of Your Tot to Teen Shoppe and member of the First Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late David and Rosie Barnes Terrell. Mrs. Halteman was married December 29, 1944 to E.C. Halteman, Jr. of Rock Island, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Bill) Summerlin of Prattville, AL and Pat Halteman of Rock Island, TN; grandchildren, Pamela Farina of Marietta, GA and William Earl Summerlin, Jr. (Rita) of Prattville, AL; great-grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Summerlin, Amy (William) Reid, Ashley Summerlin, Allison Summerlin, A.J. Farina and Meredith Farina; great-great-grandchildren, Ella Summerlin, Rush Reid, Cassidy Reid and Gunner Reid and brother, Tony Joiner of Guntersville, AL. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at First Baptist Church with Rev. John May officiating. Burial will follow in the Brick House Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at High's. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
