Sara Evelyn Edwards

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Sara Evelyn Edwards, age 96, was born March 21, 1916 and died February 9, 2013 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness. A retired employment security clerk and member of the Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Potter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Potter Edwards and daughter, Mary Edwards Hardcastle. Mrs. Edwards is survived by two grandsons and their spouses, Alan and Julie Hardcastle of Fairview, TN and Michael and Laura Hardcastle of Burlington, NC; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Hardcastle and Alex Hardcastle; son-in-law, Brown Hardcastle of McMinnville and sister, Geneva Potter of Burlington, NC. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 in High's Chapel with Steve Stubblefield officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Monday at High's. Memorial donations may be made to Central Church of Christ.
