William Henry Beck

McMinnville resident and Davidson County, TN native William Henry Beck, age 84, was born September 1, 1928 and died February 15, 2013 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness. A retired employee of Carrier Corporation, a United States Air Force veteran and a member of Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Charles Robert and Della Mae Chafin Beck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jessie Frank Beck. He was married November 9, 1951 to Omagene Martin Beck of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children and spouses, Brenda and Darrell Bost of McMinnville and Ken and Melinda Beck of Morrison, TN; three grandchildren, Robin Bost and Carl Wayne Knowles of Smithville, TN, Jacob Bost and wife Cally of McMinnville and Leslee Sanders and husband Jeremy of McMinnville; four great-grandchildren, Braden Knowles, Asher Bost, Ethan Sanders and Colton Sanders; one brother and sister-in-law, Earl Harris and Zella Beck of Murfreesboro, TN; and sister-in-law, Shirley Beck of Nashville, TN. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock and Bob Deason officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's.
