Mozelle Templeton Bess

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Mozelle Templeton Bess, age 84, was born June 12, 1928 and died March 1, 2013 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired bookkeeper with Warren Farmers Co-Op and member of the Church of Christ at St. Mary, she was the daughter of the late John Sam and Parriett Curtis Templeton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Thomas Bess; six brothers, Floyd, Homer, Leslie, Curtis, Clifford and Charles Templeton and two sisters, Mildred Templeton and Ruth Medlock. She was married January 25, 1954 to Willie Eugene Bess of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Terrie and Gary Duncan of Jefferson, GA; four grandchildren, Halie Bess and Emily Bess both of Ashland City, TN, Lindsay Duncan of Cleveland, TN and Grant Duncan of Boca Raton, FL; one great-grandchild; sister, Pauline Mitchell of Cummingsville, TN; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Templeton of Lenoir City, TN and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 in High's Chapel with Bobby Wilhite and Greg Rains officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery @ Hills Creek. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at High's.
