Patsy Sue Powell

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Patsy Sue Powell, age 84, was born March 2, 1929 and died March 26, 2013 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. A retired employee of City Bank and Trust Company and member of the Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Harmon and Maude Ann Webb Phillips, Sr. She was married to G.H. Powell who preceded her in death December 21, 2005. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, J.T. and O.H. Phillips and two sisters, Betty Ruth George and Jean Ellen Davis. Mrs. Powell is survived by a son, Phillip Edley Powell of McMinnville; three granddaughters, Lacy (Brandon) Stoner, Casi (Dalton) Cantrell and Saylem Powell all of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Lakelyn Cowan, Aleya Esparza, Bella Stoner, Raylan Cantrell and expecting Nash Cantrell; sister-in-law, Anne Phillips of Henderson, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013 in High's Chapel with Ben Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at High's.
