McMinnville resident and Warren County native Malcolm Franklin Bounds, Sr., age 90, was born May 7, 1922 and died April 1, 2013 at his residence following a recent illness. A self-employed plumber and electrician, codes inspector with the City of McMinnville, United States Navy veteran of WWII and member of the Northside Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Charlie Isaac and Annie Adcock Bounds. He was married to Olla Bella Hutchins Bounds who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Austin and Fletcher "Jake" Bounds. He is survived by two children, Saundra (Bill) Williams of McMinnville and Malcolm (Cathy) Bounds, Jr. of Huntsville, AL; two grandchildren, Mark (Melissa) Bounds and Matt (Heather) Bounds both of Huntsville, AL; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Addison, Isabella and Calista; sisters, Mary Lynn Rigsby and Nell (Carl) Morrison, Sr. both of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Betty Bounds of McMinnville; many nieces and nephews and special neighbors, Ann and Ace Boren of McMinnville. A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Gardens of Memory with Tommy Lusk officiating. Full military honors will be administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at High's. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Caney Fork Chapter of the American Red Cross.
