Billy Winfred Preston

McMinnville resident and Cannon County, TN native Billy Winfred Preston, age 74, was born December 3, 1938 and died April 4, 2013 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired foreman with Simpson Construction in Cleveland, TN, he was the son of the late Bill and Annie Belle Ledbetter Preston. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he served as Trustee, Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the Building Committee. He was married December 17, 1960 to Curlene Preston of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Freda Preston of Campaign, TN and Ronda (Pat) Moore of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Brandy (Derek) Wilcher of Rock Island, TN and Josh Roller of McMinnville; sister, Brenda (A.J.) Neal of Cannon County, TN; several nieces and nephews, church family and many friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013 in High's Chapel with Ted Stoffle and Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Hill Cemetery @ Trinity. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.
