Thomas Edward Clendenon

McMinnville resident and Warren County, TN native Thomas Edward Clendenon, age 77, was born August 17, 1935 and died April 9, 2013 at his residence following an eight-month illness. A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and a member of Shellsford Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Edward and Willie Mae Panter Clendenon. He was married to Barbara Jean Chastain Clendenon who preceded him in death January 13, 2012. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Clendenon. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Janet Clendenon of McMinnville and Eddie and Kathy Clendenon of Rock Island, TN; two sisters and brother-in-law, Agnes Evans of McMinnville and Gerry and Sam Martin of McMinnville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dean and Eugene Langford of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Elton and Barbara Dunlap of Rock Island, TN, Preston and Gloria Grissom of Spencer, TN, Jacob and Kellie Bost of McMinnville and David and Jacqueline Hitchcock of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013 in High's Chapel with Jimmy Bond officiating. Burial will follow in Shellsford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at High's.
