Eleese Haston

Sparta, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Eleese Griffith Haston, age 86, was born April 22, 1926 and died April 11, 2013 at Highlands Medical Center in Sparta, TN following extended illness. A retired supervisor with General Telephone Company and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Dora Yeargin Griffith. She was married to Joel M. "J.M." Haston who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Alma Sartin; three brothers, Ed, Roy and Bill Griffith; and special niece, Merilyn Traughber. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pauleese and Joe Craft of Sparta, TN; one grandson, Patrick Sloan of Nashville, TN; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alberta Griffith of McMinnville; special nieces and nephews, Anthony Griffith, Penny Brazier, Alecia Bridges and Anita Haley all of McMinnville and Nick Griffith of Waverly, TN; and great-niece, Caroline Webster. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013 in High's Parlor with family officiating. Burial will follow in Cummingsville Cemetery, Van Buren County. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday and from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's.
