McMinnville resident and Warren County native Clarence Hardie Mitchell, age 86, was born April 15, 1927 and died April 18, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Mitchell was the retired Superintendent of Operations at Caney Fork Electric Cooperative and a member of the Dibrell Church of Christ. He was the son of the late James Lee and Rosa Belle Glenn Mitchell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Zelma Roller and Elsie Williamson. He was married October 7, 1950 to Juanita Smith Mitchell of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Barbara Mitchell of Birmingham, AL, and Glenn and Vickie Mitchell and Darrell and Kathy Mitchell both of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Jane Ann Bryant, Phil Hitchcock and Shane Kelley all of McMinnville and Krista Blackwell of Murfreesboro, TN; four great-grandchildren and brother, Everette Lee Mitchell of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013 in High's Chapel with Brian Wynne and Shane Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 11:00 a.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.
