Georgia Marie Smith

McMinnville resident and Warren County, TN native Georgia Marie Boyd Smith, age 89, was born January 22, 1924 and died April 23, 2013 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness. A retired secretary with Smith Machine Shop and a member of Smyrna Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Sally Wagner Boyd. She was married to Leonard Farr Smith, Jr. who preceded her in death March 18, 2011. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Claudette Smith of Chatsworth, GA, Leonard and Deborah Smith, III of Morristown, TN, Daniel and Dena Smith of Bowdon, GA and Chuck Smith of McMinnville; and seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nineteen foster children. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Smyrna Church of Christ with Jonathan Stubblefield officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at High's. Memorial contributions may be made to Smyrna Cemetery Fund or Gideons International.
