Ruth Hicks Webb

McMinnville resident and Coffee County, TN native Ruth Hicks Webb, age 83, was born March 2, 1930 and died May 12, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Willie Edward and Hannah Vada Pearl Cutts Hicks. She was married September 4, 1948 to Joe Raymond Webb who preceded her in death March 31, 1990. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Homer Hicks; three sisters, Mary Norris, Edith Dybdal and Billie Simons; niece, Barbara Lemons; and nephew, Bruce Dybdal. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Carl Cox of McMinnville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bethel and Darlene Webb of McMinnville and Terry and Ruthan Webb of McMinnville; seven grandchildren and spouses, Michele and Bruce Hutchins, Richie Webb and Joseph Webb all of McMinnville, Kim and Lane McCarter of Collierville, TN, Christy Webb and Misty and Roger Simmons all of Cookeville, TN, and Billy Joe and Tina Webb of Sparta, TN; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Hicks and Lee Hicks both of Georgia; sister, Joyce Volrath of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in High's Chapel with Lane Dix officiating. Burial will follow in Morrison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at High's.
