Morris Wayne Walker

McMinnville resident and Cannon County, TN native Morris Wayne Walker, age 64, was born September 10, 1948 and died June 16, 2013 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A nursery worker and member of the New Home Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Morris and Gladys Juanita Jones Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Walker. Mr. Walker was married to Joyce Sandlin Walker of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lea Ann and Tim Stone of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Johnny Walker of McMinnville; grandson, Matt Newman of Rock Island, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Donna Walker of Morrison, TN; sister, Betty Walker of Coffee County, TN and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Lash Rice officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
