Beatrice Jones Roberts

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Beatrice Jones Roberts, age 91, was born March 3, 1922 and died June 15, 2013 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Minnie Jones. She was married to Billy Roberts who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Nicholas and Minnie Ann Roberts; great-grandson, Ricky Nunley, Jr.; three brothers, Orb, Comer and Dan Jones and sister, Zora Hawkins. Mrs. Roberts is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, A.G. and Peggy Roberts of McMinnville; three daughters and son-in-law, Ruth Craven of the Smartt Station Community, Wanda and Mike Neel of Manchester, TN and Diane Fuqua of McMinnville; seventeen grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, twenty-six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in High's Chapel with Anthony Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at High's.
