Nannie Bell Ramsey Martin

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Nannie Bell Ramsey Martin, age 87, was born September 9, 1925 and died June 15, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the East End Drive Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Doris and Sally Mae Locke Ramsey. She was married to William L. Martin, Jr. who preceded her in death April 16, 2001. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Ramsey and three sisters, Dorothy McGee, Helen Smith and Virginia Woodard. Mrs. Martin is survived by four children, Barbara Martin, William L. Martin, III and Thomas E. Martin all of McMinnville and Scherre Martin of Morrison, TN; three sisters, Mary Cope and Linda Butts both of McMinnville and Johnnie (Lewis) Blevins of Detroit, MI; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; special friend, Ione Marchbanks of McMinnville and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 in High's Chapel with Bro. Phillip Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and 12:00 p.m. until time of service Thursday at High's.
