McMinnville, TN resident and Cannon County, TN native Johnnie Womack Mason Walker, age 101, was born October 2, 1911 and died June 30, 2013 at her niece's residence in Chattanooga, TN following a brief illness. A retired teacher with the Warren County School System and a member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Cannon and Beulah Womack Mason. She was married to John J. Walker who preceded her in death 1968. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Paule, Billie Lou Mason and Julia McDaniel. She is survived by step-daughter, Emma Grace Walker Albright and husband Robert of Ashland City, TN; four step-grandchildren, John Albright, David Albright, Mary Moore and Martha Pyron; two nieces, Sally M. Jackson and husband Johnny of Chattanooga, TN and Katharine Goodson and husband Marsh of McMinnville; two great-nephews, Paul and Tip Jackson both of Chattanooga, TN; and great-great-nephew, Dagan Jackson of Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Walker was active in L.A.C.E. at Boyd Christian School and a member of the Bonner Home Demonstration Club. She was awarded the Book of Golden Deeds by the Kiwanis Club. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in High's Chapel with Kirk Brothers officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at High's. Donations may be made to Central Church of Christ Retirement Home Fund.
