Janette Sue Cantrell

McMinnville, TN resident and Chattanooga, TN native Janette Sue Cantrell, age 65, was born December 1, 1947 and died August 7, 2013 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. An employee of H&R Block and a member of the Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Ingle S. and Lillian L. Cowan Newton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Newton. She was married June 16, 1968 to Robert R. Cantrell of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Stacy Turner of McMinnville and April and James Tate of McMinnville; one son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Lori Cantrell of McMinnville; seven grandchildren and spouses, Ethan Milstead, Randy Cantrell, Abby Cantrell, Jessie Tate, Jacob Tate, Kylie and Shane Medley and Gary and Kayla Milstead; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 in High's Chapel with Michael Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High's. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital c/o High Funeral Home.
