McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Molly Ann Minton, age 74, was born January 31, 1939 and died August 18, 2013 following an extended illness. Retired from A.O. Smith and a member of Rolling Acres Brethren in Christ Church, she was the daughter of the late John Hubert and Clara Mae Driver Powers. She was married May 8, 1959 to Cecil Etherege Minton who preceded her in death January 3, 2013. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Powers and infant brother John Leonard Powers; sister, Betty Rowland; and sister-in-law, Carmon Powers. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Greta Minton of McMinnville; two grandsons and their spouses, Zachary and Kati Minton and Wesley and Victoria Minton; one great-grandson, Easton Lake Minton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Powers of the Rocky River Community, Lloyd and Stella Powers of Spencer, TN and Joe and Evolyn Powers of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Carl Davis of Murfreesboro, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in High's Chapel with Ernie Webber and Tony Smedley officiating. Burial will follow in White Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at High's.
