Betty Ware

Elizabeth Helen "Betty" Ware, 86, a McMinnville, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native was born February 24, 1927 and died August 20, 2013 in River Park Hospital following an extended illness. She was a retired employee of Genesco, daughter of the late Robert S. and Dora Certain Raymond and member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Ira Thomas Ware; son, Eddie Ware and three sisters, Ruby Shuster, Robbie Madewell and Eva Hennessee. She is survived by three sons, Jerry (Teresa) Ware, and Kenny (Helen) Ware of Rock Island, TN and Gary (Brenda) Ware of Geneva, FL; daughter, Pat Cantrell of Port Orange, FL; five grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday in High's Chapel with burial to follow in the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High's.
