Javan Morris

McMinnville, TN resident and Cannon County, TN native Javan Morris, age 93, was born August 16, 1920 and died August 20, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness. Retired from the Sheraton Corporation as a caterer, a United States Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late John and Mary Besheres Morris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Phillip Morris and three sisters, Myrtle Sadler, Ruby Hale and Rebecca Malone. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and special friend, Barbara Pearsall of Rock Island, TN. A graveside service and interment will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Smyrna Cemetery with Larry Dennis officiating. There will be no visitation at High's. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery.
