Orval David King

July 31, 1931 — August 23, 2013

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Orval David King, age 82, was born July 31, 1931 and died August 23, 2013 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. The founder of OK Heating and Air and member of the Christian Fellowship Church, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Lilly Mae Cooley King. He was married September 6, 1949 to Joanna Panter King who preceded him in death February 23, 2006. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Hannah King; two sisters, Inis Crowe and Jessie Watson and four brothers, Avery, Ossie, Warnie and Junior King. Mr. King is survived by two daughters, Sharon Lawson and Lisa Craven both of McMinnville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Renaa King and Darrell and Tina King both of McMinnville and Mark and Kathy King of Rock Island, TN; special granddaughter, Katrina (Bucky) Hobbs of McMinnville; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Davis and Edna Campbell both of McMinnville and two brothers, Roy King of South Carolina and Ray King of Ohio. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 in High's Chapel with Scotty Lawson and Danny Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at High's.
