Lee Duncan

McMinnville, TN resident Lee Duncan, age 92, was born July 3, 1921 and died September 13, 2013 at his residence following a sudden illness. A retired auto dealer, a United States Army veteran of WWII and a member of Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late John B. and Suzanne Cole Duncan. He was married June 1939 to Susie Burton Spain Duncan who preceded him in death December 16, 2003. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Lauren Patton; sister, Della Ragan; and two brothers, J.B. and Earl Duncan. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Linda Rhodes of McMinnville and Carolyn and Dorsey Tynes of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren, Vickie Pewitt of Brentwood, TN, Andrew Rhodes of Indiana, Richard Rhodes, Jr. of Colorado, Linda Clinch of Nashville, TN, Carrie Patton of Brentwood, TN and Christy Lankford of McKenzie, TN; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Lorene Edge of Memphis, TN. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2013 in High's Chapel with Dorsey Tynes and Ben Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High's.
