Susan Pauline Hill

Beersheba Springs, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native Susan Pauline Hill, age 95, was born January 11, 1918 and died November 9, 2013 at Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee, TN following an extended illness. A retired teacher at Beersheba Springs Elementary School and a member of Beersheba Springs Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin J. and Minnie Belle Clendenen Hill. She was also a member of D.A.R. and the Grundy County Retired Teachers Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Carrie Lee Willis, Marjorie Petersen, J.B. Hill, Richard Hill, Wayman Hill, Marshal Hill, B.B. Hill, Mabel Tate, Morgan Hill, Marcus Hill, Rhonnel and Raymond Hill. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 in High's Chapel with Don Hill and Sam Stansbury officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's. Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Cemetery or Beersheba Springs Church of Christ.
