Delores Eloise Davis

A resident of The Colony, TX and native of Davidson County, TN, Delores Eloise Davis, age 77, was born June 5, 1936 and died November 13, 2013 at her daughter's residence in Texas following a six-month illness. A retired computer operator with Texas Instruments and a member of the First Baptist Church in The Colony, TX, she was the daughter of the late Daniel T. and Mildred LaFever Nellums. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Bradshaw. She was married April 1, 1956 to Charles W. Davis, Sr. of The Colony, TX. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Charles W. and Elaine J. Davis, Jr. of Washington, D.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Julie L. and D. Thomas Barclay of The Colony, TX; brother, Daniel C. Nellums of San Francisco, CA; and six grandchildren, Jennifer L. Bond, J. Bradford Barclay, Andrew T. Barclay, Charles D. Barclay, J. Daniel Davis and Allison M. Davis. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Crain Hill Cemetery with John D. Davis officiating. Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at High's.
