McMinnville resident and Warren County native Joe Ross Clendenon, age 71, was born January 28, 1942 and died November 16, 2013 at Medical Center of Manchester in Manchester, TN following a sudden illness. A retired employee of Oster Corporation and member of the Rockliff Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Livy and Emma Gladys Turner Clendenon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Maynard Clendenon and sister, Melba Cathcart. He was married August 30, 2001 to Gladys Clendenon of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, Regina and Jeff Woodlee and Dana and Trent Roller both of McMinnville, Steven Clendenon of Murfreesboro, TN and Marty and Kristi Cantrell of McMinnville; eight grandchildren, Courtney (Jeff) Chisam, Haley Bouldin, Lauren Roller, Mitchell Woodlee, Mia Grace Cantrell, Abby Roller, Nate Cantrell and Isaac Cantrell; two great-grandchildren, Brynlee and Brody Chisam; brother, Fred Clendenon of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in High's Chapel with Robert Notgrass and Jerry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery @ Hills Creek. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at High's.
