Loray Simons Eller

McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Loray Simons Eller, age 90, was born February 18, 1923 and died December 19, 2013 at River Park Hospital following a short illness. Retired from the University of Tennessee Print Shop and a member of the Baptist Church in Powell, TN, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Hassie Elizabeth Hillis Simons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Joe David Eller; granddaughter, Janette Eller; two brothers, Everett and Joe Simons; five sisters, Audrey McCoy, Inez Hale, Lorena Simons, Elsie Simons and Georgie Simons; and an infant son. She was married March 19, 1949 to Joe Howard Eller of McMinnville. In addition to her husband of 64 years, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Vicki Eller of Mt. Juliet, TN; two grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle and Ryan Nelson of Brentwood, TN and Jillian and Ryan Hudson of Knoxville, TN; two great-grandchildren, Maggie Nelson of Brentwood, TN and Levi Hudson of Knoxville, TN; daughter-in-law, Susan Eller of Knoxville, TN; two sisters, Faye Sharpe and Virgie Ward both of McMinnville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at High's. Burial will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Lynnhurst Cemetery, Knoxville, TN.
