Dorothy Belle McGee

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Dorothy Belle McGee, age 77, was born February 25, 1936 and died December 23, 2013 at her residence following a brief illness. Retired from Michigan Bulb Forest Nursery and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Cooper Eugene and Mennie Belle Myers Scott, Sr. She was married to William E. McGee who preceded her in death 1981. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Julie Herman and Teira King; great-grandchild, Megan Henson; three brothers, Billy, Jr. and Marvin Scott; and sister, Betty Lou Pedigo. She is survived by four children and spouses, Phillip and Movita King, Debbie and Kenny Wolfe and Carol and Jerry Lyle all of McMinnville, and Judy and James Luna of Smithville, TN; eight grandchildren and spouses, Ann and Danny Authement, David J. Lyle, Lesa and Jason Kight, Sherridean and Tracy Hewett, Misty and Ron Moody, Kenneth and Jimmielynn Wolfe, Chris King and Kirstin King; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy C. Scott of McMinnville; four sisters, Virginia Pinegar, Helen Martin and Emogene Bickford all of McMinnville, and Eloise Taylor of Smithville, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 in High's Chapel with Danny Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Shellsford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at High's.
