Frank Lewis Cox

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Frank Lewis Cox, age 74, was born January 8, 1939 and died December 26, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness. Mr. Cox was a retired manager with Magnetek, a woodworker and cabinet maker, a member of the Masonic Lodge #452 of Rock Island, and a member of the Baptist Church. He was the son of the late William Nathan and Georgia Pearl Stewart Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris Ray Cox and Jimmy Darrell Cox. He was married May 24, 1959 to Bessie Jane Mason Cox of Rock Island, TN. In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by three children and spouses, Jane Ann and Allen Travis of McMinnville, Freddie and Paulette Cox of Bone Cave, TN and Linda and Elvis Lamb of Rock Island, TN; six grandchildren and their spouses, Justin and Shannon Lamb, Ashley and Mark Argo, Nathan and Holly Luna, Josh and Karrie Cole, Jessica Cox and Kayla and Jeremy Aguire; eight great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lamb, Hailey Lamb, Emma Lamb, Noah Argo, Lucas Cole, Zoe Aguire, Anlee Luna and Elah Cole; special nephew, Jared Cox; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and JoAnn Cox of McMinnville and Donnie and Leona Cox of Dayton, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Carrol Simmons of McMinnville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013 in High's Chapel with Bro. Jeff Kesley and Bro. Steve Breedlove officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28 in High's Parlor.
