Joyce Elaine Myers

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Joyce Elaine Myers, age 60, was born November 7, 1953 and died January 1, 2014 at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN following a sudden illness. The co-owner of A.J.'s Tree Farm and a member of the Christian Fellowship Church, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Edward and Ellen Irene Muncey Basham. She was married March 23, 1970 to Alvin Boyd Myers who preceded her in death August 24, 2004. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Betty Basham. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Joey Cathey of McMinnville and Annette and Dudley Lewis of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Nickolas Cathey and Trey Lewis; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Melba Basham of Smartt Station, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Willie Roberts of McMinnville; two nieces, Kelli Knight and Kimberly Ouahdani both of McMinnville; and two nephews, Brandon Basham and Lee Basham both of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2014 in High's Chapel with Danny Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Shellsford Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High's.
