Nadia Evelyn Bowman Mitchell

Mrs. Nadia Evelyn Bowman Mitchell, age 83 of McMinnville, TN, died January 11, 2014, in Nashville, TN with family at her side. She was born March 20, 1930 to the late Edward and Johnnie Bowman. She worked as the secretary of Cole Elementary School until her retirement in 1995. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include husband, Earl T. Mitchell; their children, Pamela Lynn, Patricia (Bill) Witt, Master Sergeant Phillip (Vicki) Mitchell USMC Ret.; grandchildren, Ashley & Amanda Witt, Craig Mitchell, Brad (Jessica) Lynn, Ryan Lynn, Tori (Jonathan) McPherson; great- grandchildren, Jordin Mitchell, Delaney Lynn, Gray Lynn, & Taylor McPherson; brother, Randall (Judy) Bowman; sister, Sandy (Bob) Fegenbush; and nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Gath Baptist Church, 6967 Smithville Hwy., McMinnville, TN 37110, by David Hale. Interment will follow at Gath Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as Active Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers: Family & Friends. The Mitchell family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 1-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at High Funeral Home, 101 College St., McMinnville, TN. Eastern Star memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. by Claiborne Chapter #144 O.E.S.
