Katherine Fontaine "Kap" Stubblefield

Katherine Fontaine "Kap" Stubblefield, age 99, a McMinnville, TN resident and Coahoma County, Mississippi native died January 18, 2014 in Raintree Manor following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late James Francis and Teen Syme Ratiff Fontaine, a retired Chemistry Teacher with the University of Wisconsin in La Crosse and a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. She was married October 21, 1939 to Edward Maddux Stubblefield who preceded her in death in June 1962. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Fontaine. Mrs. Stubblefield is survived by son, James (Barbara) Stubblefield of Alexandria, Virginia, two grandchildren, Dr. Adam Stubblefield of Mountain View, California and Dr. Rachel Stubblefield of Hampton, Virginia. She is survived locally by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery in La Crosse, Wisconsin at a later date.
