Doris Ann Gilley

Doris Ann Gilley, age 55, a Van Buren County, TN native and McMinnville, TN resident died February 6, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a sudden illness. She was a Nana, a homemaker and member of North Hills Church of God of Prophecy and daughter of the late Vollie Louise Simmons Baker. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by brother, Anthony Baker. She was married to Thomas Lynn Gilley who survives. She is also survived by daughter, Lisa (Scott) Winkler and son, Michael (Valerie) Gilley both of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Megan Winkler, Luke Winkler, Blaine Gilley and Brooklyn Gilley; two sisters and brother-in-law, Paula and Raymond Pack of Spencer, TN and Linda Prater of McMinnville; two brothers, Steve Simmons of McMinnville and Reed Tipton of Biloxi, MS; and sister-in-law, Jane Bouldin of Rock Island, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was affectionately known as "Nana" to many. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014 in High's Chapel with interment to follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Michael Harris will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 and 10:00 a.m. Sunday until time of service at High's.
