Virginia Mae Bailey

McMinnville, TN resident and Cannon County, TN native Virginia Mae Bailey, age 69, was born March 12, 1944 and died February 8, 2014 at Stones River Hospital in Woodbury, TN following a sudden illness. A retired CNA with NHC Healthcare in McMinnville and a member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel Marie Duke Mitchell. She was married to T.J. Bailey who preceded her in death May 5, 1971. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, J.C., Bobby and Billy Wayne Mitchell. She is survived by daughter, Melinda Bailey of Woodbury, TN; four brothers and sister-in-law, Kenneth Mitchell and Austin Duke both of McMinnville, James and Mary Mitchell of Donelson, TN and Thomas Mitchell of Hendersonville, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 in High's Chapel with Ben Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High's.
