Georgia Ann Jones

McMinnville, TN resident and Jackson County, TN native Georgia Ann Jones, age 93, was born June 28, 1920 and died February 24, 2014 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Vestina Wilmouth Maxwell. She was married June 23, 1941 to Eugene Clifford Jones who preceded her in death April 27, 2007. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Allan Jones; granddaughter, Wendy Jones; and six brothers and four sisters. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Ronnie and Judy Jones of Hermitage, TN, Donald and Mary Jones of Stuart, FL and Timothy and Denise Jones of McMinnville; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Becky Dodd of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; several nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Steven Shroder, Sr. of Madison, TN. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 in High's Chapel with Tony Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at High's.
