Grace Avare Ramsey

Grace Avare Ramsey, age 91, a Morrison, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died March 3, 2014 in River Park Hospital following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late W.O. and Eliza Willimas Crawley, a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She was married March 5, 1941 to Horace E. Ramsey, Jr. who preceded her in death February 5, 2011. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Betty Sue Cartwright in 2008 and sisters, Willie Mae Martin and Eloise Wells. Mrs. Ramsey is survived by son, Larry Ramsey, Sr. of Lebanon, TN; three grandchildren, Marlene Cartwright of Decatur, AL; Michael Cartwright, McMinnville and Larry Ramsey, Jr. of Smyrna, GA; five great-grandchildren, Zachery Cartwright and Ethan Cartwright of McMinnville, and Jack Ramsey, Madeline Ramsey and Anna Ramsey of Smyrna, GA; two sisters, Audrene Sissom, McMinnville and Alvena Davis of Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be 2;00 P.M. Thursday, March 6, 2014 in High's Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating. Interment will follow in Morrison Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m Thursday until time of service at High's.
