William Percy Martin, Jr.

William Percy Martin, Jr. age 85, a Nashville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died March 25, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.He was a retired employee of Textron, member of the U.S. Army Active Reserve, member of the Presbyterian Church and attended Covenant Presbyterian Church with his daughter.   He was the son of the late William Percy and Augusta Walling Martin.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by niece Ann Simms; uncle, Smartt Walling and aunt, Lillie James Smith.Mr. Martin was married March 4, 1956 to Wilma Ruth Alexander Martin who survives.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Debbie Martin of Nashville, TN; sister, Lillian Simms, Fayetteville, TN; brother, John Martin, Murfreesboro, TN; nephew, Ed (Lana) Simms, Fayetteville, TN and nieces, Ellen (Lance) Cooter, Lynchburg, TN and Mary Margaret Harris of Fayetteville, TN.A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014 in High's Chapel with Harry Green and James Dillon officiating.
