Geneva Dale Potter

Burlington, NC resident and Dekalb County, TN native Geneva Dale Potter, age 93, was born February 10, 1921 and died April 6, 2014 at Hospice House of Alamance-Caswell in Burlington, NC following an extended illness.  An Associate Professor of Home Economics at the University of Tennessee and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Mason Potter.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mimi Walton and Evelyn Edwards.Ms. Potter is survived by two great-nephews, Alan (Julie) Hardcastle of Fairview, TN and Michael (Laura) Hardcastle of Burlington, NC;  great-great-niece, Hannah Hardcastle;  great-great-nephew, Alex Hardcastle and nephew by marriage, Brown Hardcastle of McMinnville.A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Mt. View Cemetery with Steve Stubblefield officiating.  There wil be no visitation at the funeral home.  Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
