Mattie Lee Maxwell

McMinnville resident and Coffee County, TN native Mattie Lee Maxwell, age 90, was born December 3, 1923 and died April 14, 2014 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.A retired employee of Wal-Mart and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Charlie C. and Maggie Mae Smith Hennessee.  She was married March 12, 1944 to Joe Bell Maxwell who preceded her in death October 2, 2000.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Glen Keith Maxwell;  two brothers, Grover and Ed Hennessee and sister, Jessie Henley.Mrs. Maxwell is survived by a granddaughter, Leann Nokes and husband Jason of McMinnville; great-grandson, Gage Evan Nokes of McMinnville;  daughter-in-law, Shirley Maxwell and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in High's Chapel with Tony Lawrence officating.  Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 12:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at High's.
