Gertrude Tressia Thomas

Gertrude Tressia Thomas, a Woodbury, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native died April 22, 2014 in Woodbury Health Center following an extended illness.She was a retired employee of Formfit Rogers, member of the Church of Christ and daughter of the late Dock Albert and Lucy Emma Myers Hobbs.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Jonah Hobbs and sister, Gladys Hampton.Mrs. Thomas is survived by daughter, Joann Thomas Lorance of Woodbury, TN; son Larry (Chong) Thomas of Browns Mill, NJ; three grandchildren, Lisa Nichols and Phillip Lorance of Woodbury, TN and Jason Thomas of Cambridge, MA; one great-grandson, Jonathan Nichols; two brothers, Joe (Frances) Hobbs of the Centertown Community and Bobby (Katherine) Hobbs of Altamont, TN.Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 25, 2014 in High's Chapel with Kevin Key to officiate.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Thursday, April 24, 2014 and 9:00 A.M. Friday until time of service at High's.Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels.
