Johnnie "Buck" McCormick, Jr.

March 6, 1932 — May 1, 2014

Johnnie "Buck" McCormick, Jr., age 82, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died May 1, 2014 at River Park Hospital following an illness of six months.He was a self employed cattle farmer, U.S. Army Veteran, life member of Disabled Veterans and V.F.W. and member of the North Hills Dr. Church of God of Prophecy.  He was the son of Melvina Delaney McCormick of Rock Island, TN and the late Johnnie McCormick, Sr.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by sister, Helen Cooper; two brothers, Alvin and Malcolm McCormick and daughter-in-law, Rachel Jeannette McCormick.He was married February 14, 1991 to Betty Joyce Gribble McCormick who survives.  In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by four sons, Billy McCormick, Johnny (Patsy) McCormick, Timothy (Tammy) McCormick all of McMinnville and Garrett McCormick of Viola, TN; daughter, Angela (Robert) Troncin of Missouri; eleven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Harry McCormick and Billy McCormick of Indianapolis, IN, Franklin McCormick, Norman McCormick, Noland McCormick, Jimmy McCormick and Eddie McCormick of Campaign, TN; three sisters, Louise Roberts of Indianapolis, IN, Shirley Elmore, South Carolina and Carolyn Rodocor of Arizona.Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2014 in High's Chapel with Michael Harris to officiate.  Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemtery on Hwy.30.  Military grave rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.Visitation will be  3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.m. Friday and 10:00 A.M. Saturday until time of service at High's.
