Norbert Leo Huvar

McMinnville resident and Flatonia, TX native Norbert Leo Huvar, age 88, was born January 3, 1926 and died May 3, 2014 at River Park Hospital.A retired lab technician with Schlumberger Well Services and United States Navy veteran of WWII, he was the son of the late Willie J. and Emma Wasek Huvar.  He was married to Elizabeth Comer Huvar who preceded him in death March 9, 2007.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, W.J. Huvar and step-son, David Ballew.Mr. Huvar is survived by two sisters, Mable O'Leary and Laura Gene Watzlavick and nephew, Joe (Doris) Dickinson of Kingwood, TX.A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Bascom Cemetery with Lanny Johnson officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at High's.
