Luther Wayne Davis

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native Luther Wayne Davis, age 69, was born June 12, 1944 and died May 5, 2014 at his residence following a sudden illness.An employee of Warren County Sanitation Department, he was the son of the late Zollie Ray and Lola Mae Mooneyham Davis.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wilson Ray Davis.Mr. Davis is survived by a son, Zollie Wayne (Holly) Davis of McMinnville; granddaughter, Morgan Elaine Davis;  sister, Treva (Ronnie) Holland of McMinnville;  brother, Wade Davis of Rock Island, TN;  sister-in-law, Wanda Davis of Rock Island, TN;  nieces and nephews, Timmy Davis, Kevin Davis, Becky Stewart, Clint Davis and Corey Davis and several great-nieces and great-nephews.Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in High's Chapel with Rick D. Lyles officiating.  Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at High's.
