Nadean O'Neal

Bone Cave, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Nadean O'Neal, age 88, was born May 12, 1925 and died May 4, 2014 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.A librarian at Van Buren County High School, she attended Laurel Creek Baptist Church and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ida Cecile Barlow Cummings.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, D.L. and Clayton Cummings.Mrs. O'Neal's greatest pride and joy was raising her sons and watching her grandchildren grow.  She was a kind, sweet, caring and amazingly strong woman with a great sense of humor.  Her hobbies included crocheting, dancing and baking.Mrs. O'Neal is survived by two sons, Larry O'Neal of Chagrin Falls, OH and Darrell (Kimberly) O'Neal of Rock Island, TN;  ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many friends.A graveside service and interment will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Long Cemetery with Roy Terry officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday at High's.
