David Richmon Farless

David Richmon Farless, age 69, a Pikeville, TN resident and Detroit, MI native was born April 25, 1945 and died May 22, 2014 at his daughter's residence following an extended illness. He was the pastor of Smith Chapel Independent Baptist Church in Bledsoe County and former missionary to Old Mexico and had served in the National Guard. He was the son of the late Phillip and Eula Mai Wilson Farless and was married to Mary J. Eldridge Farless who preceded him in death July 21, 1996. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Phillip, Billy, Leb and Tommy Farless, sister, Jean Bouldin and four children in Heaven. Mr. Farless is survived by two daughters, Dottie (Ralph) Worden, Jr. of McMinnville and Sarah (Charlie) Powell of Deming, NM; six grandchildren, Ralphdavid Worden, Amy Worden, Michelle, Elizabeth, CherylAnn and Charles, Jr.; sister, Hazel (Gerald) Grissom and brother-in-law, Jimmy Bouldin of McMinnville; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 26, 2014 at the McMinnville Independent Baptist Church. Travis Alltop will officiate. Interment will follow in the Fuston Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, at 10:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. at High's.
