Murdis Marie Taylor

Murdis Marie Taylor, age 86, a McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native was born March 24, 1928 and died May 28, 2014 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital following an extended illness. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, and daughter of the late John L. and Katie Maggie Davis Nolan. She was married to Paul Taylor who preceded her in death in 1991. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Danny Wayne Taylor; two sisters, Helen Caldwell and Louise Brewer and five brothers, Gilliam, Doug, John, George and Hershel Nolan. Mrs. Taylor is survived by eight children and spouses, Selma Boyd, Glen (Betty) Taylor, Roy (Barbara) Taylor, Pauline (Roger) Ware, Ronnie (Teresa) Taylor, Aliene (Sam) Parsons, Treva (Bobby) Glenn and Pam Taylor, all of McMinnville; fifteen grandchildren, Patricia Trail, Arlen Boyd, Agnes Pepper, Marlene Campbell, Wayne Boyd, Johnny Taylor, Kim Muncey, Emily Freeman, Michael Taylor, Michelle Cathcart, Corey Ware, Chase Parsons, Ethan Parsons, Ronald Taylor and Lisa Thaxton and thirty-one great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Nolan of Harrison, TN and Preston Nolan, Gruetli, TN; two sisters, Troce Lane of Palmer, TN and Margaret Nance of Gruetli, TN. Funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 31, 2014 in High's Chapel with Kevin Key to officiate. Interment will follow in Center Hill Cemetery @ Hills Creek. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday and 9:00 A.M. Saturday until time of service at High's.
