McMinnville resident and Watertown, TN native Betty Jean Campbell Sweeton, age 74, was born August 5, 1939 and died July 21, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired employee of Foodtown Plus and member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Orville Campbell and Virginia Lee Campbell. She was married July 7, 1982 to Tommy D. Sweeton who preceded her in death June 12, 1994. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Clark and Jimmy Randal Sweeton. Mrs. Sweeton is survived by two daughters, Becky (Richard) Ross and Carolyn (William) Fults both of McMinnville; two sons, Dewayne (Lori) Sweeten of Morrison ,TN and Johnny Sweeton of Rock Island, TN; fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia (Paul) Watts of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Wendall (Mary) Campbell of White House, TN and Roger (Debbie) Campbell of Smyrna, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in High's Chapel with Tony Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Coffee County, TN. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at High's.
