Maria Guadalupe Ornelas

McMinnville resident and Degollado, Jalisco, Mexico native Maria Guadalupe Ornelas, age 81, was born June 21, 1928 and died July 24, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Catholic Church, she was the daughter of the late Benigno Ornelas and Melquiades Rodriguez. She was married to Jose Guzman who preceded her in death. Mrs. Ornelas is survived by eight children, Ana Maria Guzman, Maria Guadalupe Guzman, Joel Guzman, Rigoberto Guzman, Gerardo Guzman, Manuel Guzman, Benigno Guzman and Jose Guzman; twenty-eight grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren; brother, Antonio Ornelas of Jalisco, Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church with Father David Cooney officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and 3:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday at High's. Burial will be at Panteon Municipal La Piedad in Mexico.
